INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ajith moulded himself in style and traversed the formula route in ‘Billa.’ He does it again in ‘Aegan.’ He rarely smiles even in the humour segments, but he ensures viewers do. Comedy with Jayaram, VMC Haneefa, Satyan and Ajith is a treat though Jayaram and Satyan go slightly overboard in their slapstick at times. Enjoyable one-liners also come from the villain’s henchman Sriman.

Appreciably Ajith accepts reality and doesn’t mind being the butt of others’ jokes. Nor does he mind playing his age. (Haneefa’s line, “While everyone is working on the six-pack look, here you see only a paunch,” is an example.) Agile in jigs and swift in stunts Ajith scores. It’s only in the area of expression you feel he could have worked more. The grim look in the intro when he is surrounded by kids is rather puzzling as the voice-over tells you that he loves children! He is depicted as a serious guy all right but he could have smiled more often. That way his romantic interlude with Nayantara brings much cheer.
